A front over the Northern Plains/Great Basin will move eastward to the Lower Great Lakes/Southern Plains by Tuesday morning. The system will produce showers and thunderstorms over the Central/Southern Plains into the Upper Great Lakes that will move to the Great Lakes/Southern Plains/Lower Mississippi Valley by Monday evening, retreating to the Central Gulf Coast/Lower Mississippi Valley by Tuesday morning. In addition, shower and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Southern/Central Rockies on Sunday evening. Rain will also develop over parts of the Upper Great Lakes Sunday evening into Monday morning. An area of light to moderate rain will develop over parts of the Lower Great Lakes/Central Appalachians on Tuesday morning. Meanwhile, a front approaching the Pacific Northwest Coast will move onshore on Monday moving inland to the Northern Rockies/Great Basin by Tuesday. Light rain will start along the Northwest Coast on Monday morning, expanding into Northern California by Monday evening. As the boundary moves eastward, the precipitation shield will move inland producing light to moderate rain over parts of the Northern Intermountain Region into parts of the Northern Rockies/Great Basin by Tuesday. Snow will develop over parts of the Sierras too on Tuesday morning. Rain will extend into parts of the Central Rockies westward to the Pacific Northwest Coast. Elsewhere, light rain over the Carolina Coast will move out over the Western Atlantic by early Monday afternoon. The associated area of low pressure will likewise move eastward out over the Atlantic.
