Upper-level energy rotating across and upper-level trough from the Great Lakes to off the Northeast Coast, by Saturday, will produce showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Northeast on Friday and Saturday evening. The energy will also produce rain over parts of the Northeast on Saturday morning. Meanwhile, moisture flowing northward out of the Western Gulf of Mexico will intersect a boundary over the Central Plains to the Tennessee Valley along with favorable upper-level conditions to promote showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southern/Central Plains into parts of the Middle Mississippi Valley/Tennessee Valley through Saturday evening. In addition, along the eastern end of the front, showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Carolinas Friday afternoon into evening. Additionally, an upper-level low over Southern California will move slowly eastward to the Four-Corners Region by Saturday. The energy will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Central/Southern Rockies and the Great Basin/Southwest through Saturday evening. In the meantime, a front over the Pacific Northwest will move inland to the Northern High Plains to parts of the Great Basin by Saturday. The system will produce light rain over parts of the Northwest through late Friday night. Rain will also develop over parts of the Northern Rockies Friday evening into Saturday morning.
