Upper-level low over the Lower Mississippi Valley will slowly weaken through Thursday evening. Counter-clockwise flow around the upper-level low will pull moisture off the Gulf of Mexico aiding in the development of showers and thunderstorms over the Western/Central Gulf Coast that will move to parts of the Central/Eastern Gulf Coast by Thursday evening. Heavy rain will also be associated with the thunderstorms. A front extending from the Mid-Atlantic to the Western Ohio Valley will slowly sink southward to the Carolinas/Tennessee Valley by Thursday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along the boundary from the Mid-Atlantic to the Ohio Valley moving into the Carolinas/Central Appalachians by Thursday evening. Rain will also develop over parts of Northern New England that will likewise move southward to the Southern Mid-Atlantic by Thursday. Meanwhile, an upper-level low over the Pacific Northwest will move northeastward into West-Central Canada by Thursday. The energy will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Northern High Plains/Northern Rockies through Wednesday evening. Light rain will also develop over parts of the Pacific Northwest and into parts of the Northern Rockies through Thursday morning. By Thursday evening, moisture will intersect the associated front producing showers and thunderstorms with moderate rain over parts of the Northern Plains.
