A front extending from the Mid-Atlantic to the Southern High Plains will be quasi-stationary through Friday. Moisture will pool along the boundary aiding in the development of showers and thunderstorms from the Central Plains to the Mid-Atlantic, with the showers and thunderstorms settling southward to the Southeast by Friday morning. Rain will also develop over the Lower Great Lakes and move eastward to Southern New England by Thursday morning. In addition, rain will develop over Northern New England through Friday. Upper-level energy over the Northern Rockies will move eastward to the Upper Great Lakes by Friday as another front moves southeastward from South-Central Canada to the Upper Midwest by Friday morning. The energy will produce showers and thunderstorms from parts of the Northern/Central High Plain to the Northern Plains moving to the Upper Mississippi Valley/Upper Great Lakes by Friday. Another area of showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Northern High Plains on Thursday evening expanding in areal coverage to include parts of the Northern Plains/Central High Plains by Friday morning.
