A storm over the Middle Mississippi Valley will lift northeastward to the Great Lakes by Thursday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop ahead of the associated front from the Ohio Valley to the Central Gulf Coast that will move slowly to the Lower Great Lakes/Central Appalachians to the Southeast by Thursday morning. In addition, rain will develop over parts of the Great Lakes into the Northeast that will lift into Southeastern Canada/Northern New England from early Wednesday morning into Thursday morning. Showers and thunderstorms will also develop over parts of Florida through Thursday. Meanwhile, another front extending from the Northern Plains to the Great Basin will move eastward to the Upper Great Lakes to the Southern Plains by Thursday. An area of showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Northern High Plains/Northern Plains that will move eastward to the Upper Great Lakes by Thursday morning. Additionally, light to moderate rain will develop over parts of the Northern High Plains by Wednesday morning then tapering off to light showers and thunderstorms by Wednesday evening. As the front moves on to the Plains, showers and thunderstorms will develop along the boundary over the Central Plains moving into parts of the Eastern Southern Plains by Thursday morning. Elsewhere, an approaching upper-level low will move to just off the Pacific Northwest overnight Wednesday that will aid in producing light rain over parts of the Northwest Coast on Thursday morning.
