A storm over the Northern Plains will lift northward into Central Canada by Monday morning. Showers and thunderstorms, with moderate rain, will develop along and ahead of the associated front from the Upper Mississippi Valley to the Central Plains that will move into the Great Lakes/Ohio Valley by Monday. A second area of showers and thunderstorms will develop underneath the upper-level energy on Saturday night. Meanwhile, an upper-level low over the West Coast of Canada will build southward into the Pacific Northwest by Monday. The associated front will move onshore over the Pacific Northwest overnight Saturday and move inland to the Northern High Plains to the Great Basin by Monday, too. Rain with embedded thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Northern Rockies Sunday afternoon into Monday. In addition, rain will develop over parts of the Cascades Sunday into Monday. Furthermore, moisture from the Gulf of Mexico will move into parts of the Central/Northern Plains overnight Sunday that will aid in the development of showers and thunderstorms over parts of the region also aided by an approaching warm front. Elsewhere, upper-level energy over the Southeast will aid in producing scattered showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southeast/Central Gulf Coast on Saturday into Monday. An area of showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of West Texas on Saturday evening. Additionally, low pressure over Maine will slowly move northeastward out over the Atlantic by Sunday evening.
