A slow moving front extending from the Upper Mississippi Valley to the Great Basin will move eastward to the Lower Great Lakes/Northeast by Wednesday while extending westward to the Great Basin. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Upper Midwest that will move into the Great Lakes by Tuesday morning and the Lower Great Lakes by Tuesday evening. Overnight Tuesday an area of light to moderate rain will move into Northern Maine. In addition, showers and thunderstorms will continue to develop near the boundary from the Lower Great Lakes westward to parts of the Upper Mississippi Valley Tuesday into Wednesday. Meanwhile, an upper-level low over the Pacific Northwest will slowly move to the Northern Rockies by Wednesday. The energy will produce light rain over parts of the Northwest through Tuesday evening. Rain will also develop over parts of the Northern Rockies through Wednesday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Northern High Plains Monday evening into Wednesday that will expand into parts of the Northern Plains Tuesday into Wednesday morning. Elsewhere, upper-level impulse will trigger showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Central/Northern Appalachians on Monday evening. Additional impulses will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of Florida and the Gulf Coast also on Monday evening. Additionally, an upper-level impulse will linger over Florida aiding in the development of showers and thunderstorms over the Southern tip of Florida through Wednesday.
