A slow moving boundary extending from the Upper Great Lakes southwestward to the Southern High Plains will inch eastward into the Great Lakes to the Southern Plains by Tuesday morning. The western part of the front begins to dissipate by Tuesday evening. The associated warm front will lift northward from the Southeast/Ohio Valley to Northern New England by Tuesday evening. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and near the cold front from the Upper Great Lakes to the Southern Plains that will steadily march eastward into the Northeast/Central Appalachian/Tennessee Valley by Tuesday. Showers and thunderstorms will continue to develop over the Southern Plains through Tuesday evening. Meanwhile, upper-level impulses and help from the warm front will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southeast/Central Gulf Coast through Tuesday morning. In addition, upslope flow and upper-level energy will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Central High Plains through Tuesday. Another front moving southward out of Central Canada will advance to the Northern Plains to the Great Lakes by Tuesday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along the boundary moving into the Upper Midwest Monday afternoon into Tuesday. Elsewhere, upper-level energy will come onshore over the Pacific Northwest on Monday evening, producing light rain over parts of the Pacific Northwest through Tuesday morning. As some of the energy moves to the Northern Rockies, showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the area by Tuesday evening.
