A slow moving front extending from the Northeast/Lower Great Lakes to Lower Mississippi Valley will move eastward to the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic Coast by Thursday morning. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of the boundary from the Northeast to the Ohio/Tennessee Valleys that will move to the Mid-Atlantic/Northeast Coast by Wednesday evening and off the Coast by Thursday evening. An upper-level impulse moving across the Great Lakes will produce a few areas of showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Great Lakes on Wednesday. Additionally, upper-level energy over the Southeast will move northeastward along the Southeast Coast to the Southern Mid-Atlantic Coast by overnight Wednesday. The energy will trigger showers and thunderstorms along the Southeast and Southern Mid-Atlantic Coast on Wednesday. Meanwhile, upper-level energy over Texas will move to the Central Gulf Coast by Thursday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along the Western Gulf Coast and slowly drift to the Lower Mississippi Valley by Thursday evening. In addition, showers and thunderstorms over the Eastern Gulf Coast, on Thursday, will move to Florida by Thursday evening. Furthermore, another upper-level impulse will trigger showers and thunderstorms over parts of Central Plains into Western Texas on Wednesday. Elsewhere, an upper-level trough over the Eastern Pacific will move onshore over the West Coast moving inland to the Northern/Central Rockies by Thursday evening. An associated boundary over the Northern High Plains will produce showers and thunderstorms over the Northern High Plains and expanding into parts of the Northern/Central Plains on Wednesday and Thursday. Rain will develop over the Pacific Northwest/Northern California by Wednesday afternoon through Thursday. Also, showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Northern Rockies on Thursday.
