A front extending from the Great Lakes southwestward to the Southern Plains then along the front range of the Rockies will move eastward to the East Coast and southward to the Gulf Coast by Wednesday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of the boundary from New England southwestward to the Southern Plains that will move to the East Coast and the Eastern/Central Gulf Coast by Wednesday morning. In addition, an associated upper-level low over the Great Lakes will rotate into Eastern Ontario by Wednesday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop underneath the upper-low over the Great Lakes through Wednesday. Meanwhile, monsoonal moisture trapped under an upper-level ridge with aid from upper-level impulses will produce showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southwest and the Southern/Central Rockies along with parts of the Great Basin through Wednesday. The greatest areal coverage will be in the late afternoon into evening. Additionally, upper-level energy over the Pacific Northwest will move the Northern/Central High Plains by Wednesday morning. The energy will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over the Northern Rockies moving southeastward to the Central High Plains/Southern Plains by Wednesday.
