A lingering front over the Southeast and the Gulf Coast will produce showers and thunderstorms over the Central Gulf Coast and the Southeast through Sunday evening. Upper-level energy over the Ohio Valley will also aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over the Lower Great Lakes/Ohio Valley and the Tennessee Valley/Central Appalachians through Sunday morning. Meanwhile, another front over the Upper Mississippi Valley will lift northward into Central Canada by Sunday morning. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of the boundary over the Upper Mississippi Valley into the Upper Great Lakes through late Saturday night. A third front over Central Canada will move southeastward into the Upper Midwest by Sunday evening. Showers and thunderstorms will develop ahead of the front over parts of the Upper Mississippi Valley on Sunday. Upper-level impulses moving over the Pacific Northwest will produce light rain over the parts of the area through Sunday morning. An upper-level impulse over Southeastern California will move northward into parts of the Great Basin by Sunday evening. The energy will aid in producing late afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms over parts of Eastern California and the Great Basin on Saturday and Sunday. Likewise, diurnal heating and upper-level impulse will aid in producing late afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southern High Plains also on Saturday and Sunday.
