A stationary front draped across the Tennessee valley and the Southeast will keep that region wet. A cold front dipping into the high plains of Montana will gradually work its way southward and eastward, triggering areas of showers and thunderstorms for much of the Great Plains. West of the Continental Divide, widely scattered afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms are anticipated--fueled by residual monsoonal moisture there.
