Upper-level energy over the Middle Mississippi Valley will move slowly eastward to the Mid-Atlantic while weakening. The associated surface boundary will likewise move eastward to the Central Appalachians by Monday evening. The system will produce showers and thunderstorms over the Middle Mississippi Valley that will trail southwestward to the Southern Plains on Sunday. The area of showers and thunderstorms will move into the Ohio Valley by Sunday evening and move to the Mid-Atlantic by Monday evening. A weak upper-level impulse over the Mid-Atlantic will trigger light rain over parts of the Mid-Atlantic/Eastern Ohio Valley on Sunday morning. In addition, upper-level low over the Northeast will slowly move eastward to Southeastern Canada by Monday. The energy will aid in producing light rain over parts of Northern New England through Monday morning. Meanwhile, upper-level energy over West-Central Canada will move to the Upper Mississippi Valley/Upper Great Lakes by Monday evening. A weakening front associated with the energy will produce showers and thunderstorms over the Upper Mississippi Valley on Sunday. The main energy will produce showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Northern Plains on Sunday moving slowly to the Upper Great Lakes/Middle Mississippi Valley by Monday. Elsewhere, weak upper-level impulses and moisture pooling along the Gulf Coast will trigger showers and thunderstorms over the area on Sunday. Furthermore, monsoonal moisture and diurnal heating will produce showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southwest and the Southern/Central Rockies during the late afternoon and evening on Sunday and Monday.
