Upper-level energy over the Central High Plains will move to the Upper Mississippi Valley by Saturday. As the energy lifts northeastward the associated front will slowly dissipate over the Plains by Friday afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of the boundary from the Southern High Plains to the Upper Mississippi Valley that will move slightly eastward to the Mississippi Valley by Friday evening into Saturday morning. In addition, another front over the Northern High Plains/Northern Rockies will move southeastward to the Central Plains/Upper Great Lakes by Saturday. The front will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the of the Northern Rockies/Northern High Plains that will move into the Upper Mississippi Valley/Upper Great Lakes by Saturday. Meanwhile, upper-level energy over the Central/Western Gulf Coast will produce showers and thunderstorms over the region through Saturday.
