A quasi-stationary front will linger along the Southeast/Gulf Coast while waves of low pressure ride along the boundary. Moisture rich air will pool along the front aiding in the development of showers and thunderstorms from the Mid-Atlantic Coast to the Western Gulf Coast on Sunday evening. As a wave of low pressure travels along the Carolina Coast, showers and thunderstorms with moderate rain will develop from the Southern Mid-Atlantic to the Eastern Gulf Coast through Monday night into Tuesday morning. Meanwhile, moisture from Pacific Tropical Storm Norbert and monsoonal moisture will combine to produce showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southwest/Southern California/Great Basin and into parts of the Southern/Central Rockies through Tuesday. Another front over West-Central Canada will sink southward into the Upper Midwest/Northern High Plains on Monday into Tuesday. Rain with embedded thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Upper Mississippi Valley Monday evening into Tuesday. Rain will also develop over parts of the Northern High Plains, too. In addition, upper-level energy over the Northern Plains will trigger showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Middle Missouri Valley on Monday morning. The showers and thunderstorms will expand into parts of the Upper Great Lakes by Monday evening and sink into parts of the Middle Mississippi Valley/Central Plains by Tuesday morning.
