Moisture from the Gulf of California will move northward along the boundary into the Southwest/Great Basin that will begin to wane by Sunday morning. The moisture and upper-level jet dynamics will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southwest into the Northern Rockies that will drift eastward into the Southern/Central Rockies by Sunday morning. Rain will also develop over parts of the Northern High Plains on Saturday afternoon into Sunday morning. Meanwhile, upper-level energy over Western Texas and onshore flow of the Western Gulf of Mexico will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over the Lower Rio Grande Valley through Sunday. In addition, upper-level energy over the Central Gulf Coast and Florida will produce showers and thunderstorms over the Central Gulf Coast eastward to the Southeast Coast Friday into Sunday. Also, showers and thunderstorms will expand northward into the Tennessee Valley Saturday night into Sunday morning. Ziegenfelder Graphics available at www.wpc.ncep.noaa.gov/basicwx/basicwx_wbg.php
