A front extending from the Upper Mississippi Valley southward to the Southern High Plains will move eastward to the Great Lakes to the Lower Mississippi Valley by Friday. Moisture will pool along the boundary aiding in the development of showers and thunderstorms over the Middle Mississippi Valley that will expand southward into the Southern Plains by Thursday morning. The showers and thunderstorms will also expand northward into the Upper Great Lakes by Thursday evening, with heavy rain. By Friday morning the showers and thunderstorms will extend from the Great Lakes southward to the Lower Mississippi Valley/Central Gulf Coast, with moderate rain. In addition, rain will develop over parts of the Upper Great Lakes on Wednesday evening that will move into Southern Canada by Friday morning. Meanwhile, upper-level energy will aid in producing moderate to heavy rain over parts of the Central High Plains on Wednesday evening moving into the Central Plains by Thursday while the intensity weakens to light to moderate rain. Rain and snow will develop over parts of the higher elevations of the Central Rockies on Wednesday evening. Additional upper-level energy will enter the Northern Tier State and move southeastward to the Upper Mississippi Valley/Central Plains by Friday. The energy will aid in developing rain and snow over parts of the Northern High Plains/Northern Rockies on Thursday morning that will move to parts of the Northern Plains by Friday. Furthermore, rain will also develop over parts of the Northern High Plains and move eastward to the Upper Mississippi Valley by Thursday. Elsewhere, low pressure off New England Coast will produce moderate to heavy rain over parts of New England Coast on Wednesday evening that will slowly wane overnight ending on Thursday.
