A storm over the Southern Plains will move slowly to the Western Ohio Valley by Tuesday evening. A strong moisture connection to the Gulf of Mexico will direct moisture that will pool along and ahead of the associated front producing showers and thunderstorms, with heavy rain, over parts of the Middle/Lower Mississippi Valley and the Southern Plains that will move eastward to the Lower Great Lakes/Ohio Valley southward to the Southeast by Tuesday. Light to moderate rain will develop over parts of the Central Plains that will move northeastward to the Middle Mississippi Valley and expand into the Great Lakes on Monday into Tuesday. Meanwhile, a front moving onshore over the Pacific Northwest will move inland to the Northern Rockies southwestward to Central California by Tuesday evening. Rain will develop over the Pacific Northwest Coast into parts of Northern California that will be heavy at times through Tuesday.
