A deep storm over the eastern third of the country will slowly begin to lift northward. Moisture flowing out of the Gulf of Mexico and later the Atlantic will pool along the associated front producing showers and thunderstorms, with moderate rain, from the Eastern Gulf Coast northward to the Great Lakes on Tuesday morning that will retreat to the Mid-Atlantic/Southeast by Tuesday evening. The showers and thunderstorms will move into the Mid-Atlantic on Wednesday, while lingering over parts of Florida. Light to moderate rain will develop over parts of the Upper Great Lakes, likewise, on Tuesday morning and developing along the front over parts of the Ohio Valley/Lower Great Lakes by Tuesday evening. Rain will move into parts of the Northeast on Wednesday, while light rain lingers over parts of the Upper Great Lakes/Western Ohio Valley. Meanwhile, a front over the Pacific Northwest/Northern California will move eastward to the Northern High Plains/Great Basin by Wednesday evening. Southerly flow along the West Coast will aid in producing rain over parts of the Pacific Northwest and parts of Northern California through Wednesday evening.
