A complicated storm over the Great Lakes will move eastward to just off the coast of Maine by Friday evening. The system will produce rain from the Great Lakes to the Mid-Atlantic and along the lead front from the Central Appalachians to the Lower Mississippi Valley. The rain will become light to moderate by Thursday evening over parts of the Northeast to the Eastern Ohio Valley and along the Mid-Atlantic Coast. By Friday morning moderate to heavy rain will develop over Northern New England Coast ending by Friday evening. Moderate snow will develop over parts of Northern Maine by Friday morning and begin to taper off the Friday evening. An upper-level low over Northern Mexico and easterly flow off the Gulf of Mexico will aid in developing light to moderate rain over parts of Southern Texas on Thursday morning that will decrease in intensity to light rain by Thursday afternoon. The light rain will continue over parts of Southern Texas through Friday evening. Meanwhile, a front off the Northwest Coast will move inland to the Northern Intermountain Region by Thursday evening. The boundary will move quickly eastward to the Upper Mississippi Valley to the Southern High Plains by Friday evening. The system will produce rain over parts of the Pacific Northwest on Thursday, ending by early Friday morning. The rain will move into parts of the Northern Rockies by Thursday evening, ending on Friday. As the system moves eastward, rain will being to develop over parts of the Northern Plains on Thursday evening and move eastward to parts of the Upper Mississippi Valley/Upper Great Lakes by Friday evening.
