A storm over the Upper Mississippi Valley/Upper Great Lakes will move eastward to the Lower Great Lakes and get absorbed by developing low off the Mid-Atlantic Coast by Tuesday evening. The system will produce snow and rain over parts of the Upper/Middle Mississippi Valley and the Upper Great Lakes that will move eastward into parts of the Great Lakes/Eastern Ohio Valley by Tuesday morning. Meanwhile, low pressure a fair distance off the Southeast Coast will move northwestward to the Northeast Coast by Tuesday evening. The storm will produce light rain along parts of the Southeast Coast on Monday morning into Tuesday morning. As the system draws near the Mid-Atlantic Coast, moisture from the Atlantic will stream into the Mid-Atlantic/Northeast Coast. Light to moderate rain will develop along parts of the Southern Mid-Atlantic Coast on Monday evening. The light to moderate rain will move into the Northern Mid-Atlantic by Tuesday morning and extend into New England Coast while increasing in intensity to moderate to heavy rain by Tuesday evening. Light snow will develop over parts of the Central Appalachians by Monday evening. The snow will expand into parts of the Northeast by Tuesday morning, with pockets of rain/freezing rain. By Tuesday evening moderate snow will develop over parts of Northern New England. Multiple upper-level disturbances will move into the Pacific Northwest through Tuesday evening. The energy will produce light rain over parts of northwestern Washington State on Monday. In addition, areas of light rain will develop over parts of the Northern/Central California Monday evening into Tuesday morning. Upper-level jet streak interaction will aid in producing moderate to heavy rain over parts of the Pacific Northwest on Tuesday. Elsewhere, weak upper-level energy moving over Southwestern Texas and moisture flowing off the Western Gulf of Mexico will aid in producing areas of rain over the region through Tuesday.
