A front over the Upper Great Lakes to the Northern High Plains will move quickly southeastward to off the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic Coast by Friday evening. The system will produce light snow over parts of the Upper Great Lakes that will move into parts of the Northeast by Friday morning and off the Northeast Coast by Friday afternoon. In addition, upper-level energy over the Central Gulf Coast will move eastward to off the Southeast Coast by Friday morning. The energy will trigger rain over parts of the Southeast that will move off the coast by Friday morning. Meanwhile, a front moving onshore over the Pacific Northwest will race eastward to the Upper Mississippi Valley/Southern Plains by Saturday morning. The system will produce moderate to heavy rain over parts of the Pacific Northwest Coast on Thursday evening that will wane by Friday afternoon. The storm will also produce snow, moderate at times, over parts of the Northern Intermountain Region by Friday morning. The snow will become light over Northern Rockies by Friday afternoon and end later Friday night. The system will produce light snow over parts of the Upper Mississippi Valley/Upper Great Lakes on Saturday morning. Another front will approach the Pacific Northwest Coast by Saturday morning bring light to moderate rain to the Northwest Coast and parts of Northern California.
