A front extending from the Mid-Atlantic to the Gulf Coast will move offshore as a wave of low pressure deepens just off the Southeast Coast. Light snow will wind down over parts of New England and the Northern Appalachians through Monday evening. Pockets of rain/freezing rain may develop over parts of the Northern Mid-Atlantic also on Monday evening. Light to moderate rain will develop over parts of the Southeast/Southern Mid-Atlantic on Monday evening, too. Likewise, showers and thunderstorms will also develop over parts of the Southeast through late Monday night. The rain will wane over the Mid-Atlantic on Tuesday morning, with a small area of light snow over parts of Virginia. Upper-level energy moving into the Northwest will move inland to the Great Lakes by Wednesday. The energy will aid in producing light to moderate rain over parts of the Pacific Northwest and Northern Intermountain Region through Monday evening. The rain will wane on Tuesday, ending later Tuesday evening. Snow will develop over parts of the Northern Rockies through Tuesday evening. As the energy moves eastward, areas of rain and freezing rain/sleet will develop over parts of the Northern High Plains Monday evening into Tuesday morning. Snow will also develop over parts of the Northern Plains on late Monday night that will expand over the Upper Mississippi Valley on Tuesday, moving eastward to the Great Lakes by Wednesday morning.
