Low pressure off the New England Coast will move northeastward out over the Western Atlantic. The system will produce light snow over parts of the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Coast that will end Thursday night. Cold air moving over the Great Lakes will produce lake effect snow downwind from the ice free waters of the Great Lakes through late Thursday night. Meanwhile, a front over West-Central Canada will move southeastward to the Great Lakes westward to the Central Plains and Northern High Plains by Saturday. The storm will produce snow over the Upper Great Lakes on Friday morning expanding into the Northeast and parts of the Ohio Valley by Saturday morning. In addition, cold high pressure will move over the Upper Midwest behind the boundary. Elsewhere, another front over the Eastern Pacific will move onshore over the Pacific Northwest on Friday moving into the Northern Rockies by Saturday morning. The system will produce light rain over parts of the Northwest Coast Thursday evening into Friday evening. The rain will move into parts of the Northern Rockies by Saturday morning.
