A front extending from the Northeast southwestward to the Southern Plains will move southeastward to off the Southeast Coast by Thursday evening. Behind the boundary, cold high pressure over the Northern High Plains will move southeastward to the Ohio Valley/Southern Plains also by Thursday. Snow will develop over parts of the Central Rockies/Central Plains will expand into the Ohio Valley/Northern Appalachians by Wednesday evening. The snow will become moderate over parts of the Ohio Valley on Wednesday evening that will move into parts of the Northern Mid-Atlantic by Thursday morning and off the Mid-Atlantic Coast by Thursday evening. Light to moderate rain will develop over parts of the Lower Mississippi Valley to the Ohio Valley on Wednesday morning that will expand along the front from the Southern Plains to the Mid-Atlantic by Wednesday evening. The light to moderate rain will move into the Southern Mid-Atlantic/Southeast by Thursday morning and begin to move off the Southern Mid-Atlantic Coast by Thursday evening. Between the rain and snow, a band of rain/freezing rain and sleet will develop from parts of the Southern Plains to the Western Ohio Valley/Tennessee Valley on Wednesday.
