A front extending from the Southeast/Eastern Gulf Coast northwestward to the Central Rockies will move southeastward to the Southern High Plains/Lower Rio Grande Valley by Friday morning. The eastern portion of the boundary will be quasi-stationary with waves of low pressure traveling the front. Moisture will accompany the waves of low pressure from the Lower/Middle Mississippi Valley northeastward into the Mid-Atlantic by Friday. An area of showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Western/Central Gulf Coast that will move to parts of the Southeast Coast by Thursday evening. Rain will develop over parts of the Middle/Lower Mississippi Valley and move northeastward to the Southeast/Southern Mid-Atlantic by Friday morning. Moderate wet snow will develop over parts of the Northern Mid-Atlantic by Friday morning, too. Meanwhile as the western end of the boundary moves southeastward, highest elevation snow will develop over parts of the Central Rockies through Thursday evening. Light snow will linger over parts of the Southern Rockies on Friday. Rain will develop over parts of the Central Rockies/Southwest through Thursday morning. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Southwest Wednesday evening expanding into parts of the Southern Rockies by Thursday evening. Light rain and thunderstorms will linger over parts of the Southwest/Southern Rockies on Friday morning. As the western parts of the system sinks southward, moisture will move into parts of the Central/Southern Plains. The moisture will aid in producing rain over the region that will move eastward into the Ohio Valley/Lower Mississippi Valley and the Central Gulf Coast Thursday evening into Friday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of Texas also on Thursday evening into Friday morning. In addition, upper-level energy over the Northern Rockies will produce rain and higher elevation snow over parts of the Northern Rockies into parts of the Northern High Plains through early Thursday morning. A front over Western Canada will move southeastward to the Upper Midwest by Friday. Rain will develop over parts of the Upper Mississippi Valley on Thursday evening.
