Short Range Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 356 PM EDT Thu Apr 09 2015 Valid 00Z Fri Apr 10 2015 - 00Z Sun Apr 12 2015 ...There is a slight risk of severe thunderstorms for parts of the Ohio Valley/Great Lakes/Middle and Lower Mississippi Valley and parts of the Southern Plains... A storm over the Upper Great Lakes will move northeastward into Eastern Canada by Friday evening. The associated front will move off the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic Coast and along the Gulf Coast by Saturday morning. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of the boundary from parts of the Southern Plains to the Great Lakes that will move to the Mid-Atlantic to the Southeast/Western Gulf Coast by Friday evening. In addition, showers and thunderstorms will develop near the warm front from the Eastern Ohio Valley/Central Appalachians/Southern Mid-Atlantic that will move into the Northern Mid-Atlantic by Friday morning. Rain will also develop over parts of the Lower Great Lakes and the Upper Great Lakes that will move into the Northeast on Friday. Snow will develop over parts of the Upper Great Lakes on Friday morning and move into parts of Northern New England by Saturday morning. Shower and thunderstorms will return to parts of the Central/Southern Plains on Saturday morning, too. A front over the Northern Pacific will move onshore over the Pacific Northwest on Friday evening moving slightly inland by Saturday morning. The system will produce light to moderate rain over parts of the Northwest Coast Friday night into Saturday. Moderate snow will develop over parts of the Northern Rockies on Saturday morning.
