A front extending from the Northeast Coast southwestward to the Lower Mississippi Valley/Western Gulf Coast will move off most of the East Coast by Saturday morning. The boundary will linger across the Gulf Coast through Sunday. Showers and thunderstorm will develop along and ahead of the front from the Southern Mid-Atlantic to the Southeast on Friday evening and over the Southeast by Saturday morning. Showers and thunderstorms will also develop along and near the boundary from parts of the Lower Rio Grande Valley/Western Gulf Coast to the Eastern Gulf Coast through Sunday. Scattered light snow will develop over parts of the Upper Great Lakes on Friday night and over parts of Northern New England on Saturday morning. A front moving onshore over the Pacific Northwest move eastward to the Northern Plains/Great Basin by Sunday. Light to moderate rain will develop over parts of the Pacific Northwest through Saturday morning. Higher elevation snow will also develop over parts of the Cascades through Sunday and over parts of the Northern Rockies Saturday morning into Sunday morning. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Upper Mississippi Valley on Sunday morning. Furthermore, upper-level energy over the Southern High Plains on Saturday evening will move to the Middle Mississippi Valley by Sunday morning. The energy will produce showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southern High Plain on Saturday evening and rain over parts of the Middle Mississippi Valley by Sunday morning.
