A front extending from the Upper Mississippi Valley to the Southern High Plains and the Southwest will move eastward to the Northeast Coast to the Tennessee Valley and the Southern Plains by Tuesday. The boundary will intersect moisture from the Gulf of Mexico that will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms from the Upper Mississippi Valley to the Southern Plains. Showers and thunderstorms with moderate rain will develop over parts of the Southern High Plains by Monday morning and continue through to Tuesday morning. In addition, showers and thunderstorms with moderate rain along the front over the Middle Mississippi Valley/Western Ohio Valley on Monday morning will move southeastward to the Southern Mid-Atlantic to the Central/Western Gulf Coast by Tuesday morning. Furthermore, moisture from the Gulf of Mexico will move northward over the Western Gulf Coast to the Southeast will interact with upper-level impulses to produce showers and thunderstorms over the area Sunday into Monday morning. The showers and thunderstorms will become limited to the Southeast by Monday evening into Tuesday morning. Light to moderate rain will develop over the Upper Great Lakes by Monday morning and move eastward to the Northeast/Northern Mid-Atlantic Coast by Tuesday. Meanwhile, a front over the Northern Pacific will move onshore over the Pacific Northwest on Monday afternoon that will move inland to the Northern Rockies/Great Basin by Tuesday. Rain along parts of the Pacific Northwest Coast will become light to moderate rain by Monday afternoon. On Tuesday morning, light rain and higher elevation snow will develop over parts of the Northwest Coast, while snow develops over parts of the Northern Rockies into parts of the Great Basin.
