A front extending from the Lower Great Lakes to the Tennessee Valley/Southern Plains will move eastward off the Northeast/Northern Mid-Atlantic Coast by Tuesday evening. The remainder of the boundary will become quasi-stationary from the Southern Mid-Atlantic westward to the Lower Mississippi Valley/Southern Plains through Wednesday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along the front from the Lower Great Lakes to the Southern Plains on Monday evening. Rain will develop over parts of the Northern/Central Appalachians that will move eastward to the Northeast/Northern Mid-Atlantic Coast by Tuesday morning moving off the Coast by Tuesday evening. Showers and thunderstorms will generally develop near and south of the quasi-stationary front from Tuesday into Wednesday from the Western Gulf Coast to the Southeast. In addition, rain will develop over parts of Oklahoma and move into the Middle Mississippi Valley Tuesday into Wednesday morning. Rain will also develop over parts of the Mid-Atlantic Tuesday evening through Wednesday. Meanwhile, a front over the Northern Intermountain Region will move eastward to the Northern Plain/Southern Rockies by Wednesday. The system will produce rain over the Pacific Northwest and parts of Northern California ending overnight Tuesday. Snow will develop over parts of the interior Northwest to parts of the Northern Intermountain Region on Tuesday into Tuesday evening.
