A slow moving storm over the Northern High Plains will move northeastward to the Upper Mississippi Valley/Upper Great Lakes by Monday morning. Moisture from the Gulf of Mexico will stream northward into the Upper Mississippi Valley and the Ohio Valley/Mid-Atlantic through Monday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Plains that will move eastward from the Northern/Central Plains into the Ohio Valley/Mid-Atlantic and the Middle Mississippi Valley while lingering over parts of the Southern Plains into the Lower Mississippi Valley Sunday afternoon into Monday. In addition, showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Tennessee Valley and the Central/Eastern Gulf Coast into the Ohio Valley/Mid-Atlantic that will wane to the Ohio Valley/Mid-Atlantic and the Eastern Gulf Coast by Sunday morning. Rain will also develop over parts of the Northern High Plains that will move into the Upper Mississippi Valley/Upper Great Lakes Sunday evening into Monday morning. Furthermore, afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms and nighttime/morning rain will develop over parts of the Northern/Central Rockies ending overnight Sunday. Also, areas of snow will develop over some of the highest elevations over the Rockies through Sunday evening. Meanwhile, an upper-level low just off the Northwest Coast will move southeastward to Central/Southern California by Monday. The energy will aid in producing rain with embedded thunderstorms over parts of the Pacific Northwest into Northern/Central California and parts of the Great Basin/Northern Intermountain Region Sunday evening into Monday morning.
