An upper-level low over the Southern Appalachians will slowly move to the Southeast Coast by Friday. The storm will produce showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southeast to the Southern Mid-Atlantic Coast through Friday. Rain will also develop over parts of the Mid-Atlantic from Wednesday evening into Friday. Meanwhile, a slow moving front extending from the Upper Mississippi Valley/Upper Great Lakes southwestward to the Central High Plains will move to the Great Lakes to the Central Plains by Friday morning. Moisture pooling along the boundary will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms from the Upper Great Lakes to the Middle Mississippi Valley that will move to the Lower Great Lakes/Central Appalachians to the Middle Mississippi Valley/Central Plains by Friday. A persistent front over the Northern/Central Rockies and upslope flow will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the area through Friday. In addition, a upper-level disturbance over the Northern Plains will aid in producing rain over parts of the region Thursday evening into Friday. Furthermore, an upper-level low will develop over California on Thursday into Friday. The energy will produce showers and thunderstorms over parts of Northern California/Great Basin on Thursday that will move to parts of the Southwest/Great Basin by Friday morning.
