A slow moving front extending from parts of the Northeast southwestward to the Southern Plains will travel to just off the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic Coast to the Carolinas westward to parts of the Tennessee Valley by Wednesday. The boundary will aid in triggering showers and thunderstorms along and near the front from the Northeast to the Tennessee Valley that will move off the Northeast Coast and into parts of the Southeast to the Lower Mississippi Valley by Wednesday morning. In addition, upper-level energy over the Great Lakes will move eastward to the Northeast also by Wednesday. The energy will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Great Lakes/Ohio Valley that will move into the Northern Appalachians by Tuesday evening. A second front over the Northern Rockies/High Plains will advance eastward to the Upper Great Lakes by Wednesday. The system will produce showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Upper Mississippi Valley on Tuesday morning and move into the Great Lakes Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning. Meanwhile, upper-level troughing over the Great Basin to the Southwest/California with embedded impulses will aid in triggering showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Northern/Central Rockies to the Great Basin on Tuesday into Wednesday. Moisture associated with what was Tropical Storm Blanca will move northeastward form the Gulf of California to parts of the Southwest/Southern Rockies by Wednesday. The moisture will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southwest/Southern Rockies Tuesday into Wednesday morning.
