A front extending roughly along the East Coast and the Gulf Coast will slowly dissipate by Wednesday afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along the front over the Northeast through late Tuesday night. Showers and thunderstorms will also develop near the boundary over the Southeast to the Lower Mississippi Valley through Wednesday. The Showers and thunderstorms will continue over the Southeast to the Lower Mississippi Valley as an upper-level disturbance rest over the area Wednesday evening into Thursday. Another front extending from the Upper Mississippi Valley to the Northern Rockies will move eastward to the Northeast Coast and southward to Central Plains/Ohio Valley by Thursday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over the Upper Mississippi Valley/Upper Great Lakes and move eastward to the Northeast by Wednesday evening into Thursday morning. Moisture form the Gulf of Mexico will intersect the front over the Plains into the Ohio Valley producing showers and thunderstorms along the front from the Lower Great Lakes/Ohio Valley to Central/Northern Plains Wednesday evening into Thursday morning. Shower and thunderstorms will also expand into the Upper/Middle Mississippi Valley by Thursday. Meanwhile, showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Pacific Northwest to parts of the Northern High Plains Tuesday evening into Wednesday afternoon. The showers and thunderstorms will move into the Northern High Plain/Northern Plains by Wednesday evening. In addition, upper-level energy over the Southwest will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southwest/Great Basin into parts of the Southern Rockies that will expand into the Central Rockies and remain over the Great Basin by Thursday morning.
