A quasi-stationary front extending from the Southeast to the Northern Plains will trigger showers and thunderstorms from the Northern Plains to the Ohio Valley through Sunday evening. By Monday morning showers and thunderstorms will move into parts of the Mid-Atlantic and Lower Great Lakes. In addition, showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Southeast and the Southern Mid-Atlantic Coast will move off the Southeast/Southern Mid-Atlantic Coast by Sunday morning. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along the Gulf Coast of Florida and parts of the Southeast Coast of Florida through Monday. Meanwhile and upper-level trough over the Northwest with embedded upper-level impulses will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the interior Northwest and Northern California into parts of the Northern Plains/Northern Rockies to parts of the Great Basin through Monday. Also, diurnal heating and monsoonal moisture will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southern/Central Rockies through Monday, too.
