A quasi-stationary front extending from the Northern Plains to the Southern Appalachians will develop showers and thunderstorms along and near the boundary from the Upper Midwest to parts of the Southern Mid-Atlantic through Tuesday. Additionally, upper-level energy moving into parts of the Northeast will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Great Lakes into parts of the Northeast from Monday into Tuesday. In addition, moisture pooling over the Southeast and impulses rotating around an upper-level ridge over Texas will aid in developing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southeast through Tuesday. Meanwhile, upper-level troughing over the Northwest and diurnal heating will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Northwest eastward to the Northern Rockies through Tuesday. Furthermore, monsoonal moisture, diurnal heating and upper-level energy will aid in developing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southern/Central Rockies also through Tuesday.
