A front extending from the Carolinas westward to the Southern Plains will be quasi-stationary through Thursday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and near the boundary from the Southern High Plains to the Southeast Coast through Thursday evening. A second front extending from the Northern High Plains to the Great Basin will move eastward to the Northern Plains/Northern Rockies by Thursday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along the warm front over the Northern/Central Plains on Wednesday morning ending Wednesday afternoon. In addition, showers and thunderstorms will develop along and near the boundary from the Great Basin to the Northern High Plains on Monday that will move into the Northern Plains and stretch southwestward to the Northern Rockies by Thursday evening. Elsewhere, upper-level energy rotating through an upper-level trough over the Northeast that will trigger scattered showers over parts of Northern New England through Thursday morning. Additionally, weakening monsoonal moisture and diurnal heating will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southern Rockies on Wednesday evening.
