A quasi-stationary front extending from parts of the Upper Great Lakes/Upper Mississippi Valley southwestward to the Northern Rockies/High Plains will trigger showers and thunderstorms over the Upper Great Lakes through Sunday morning. Showers and thunderstorms will also develop over parts of the Northern Rockies/High Plains and move into the Northern Plains on Saturday morning into Sunday. A second quasi-stationary front will extend from the Southeast into parts of the Central Plains/Lower Mississippi Valley also through Sunday morning. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and near the boundary from parts of the Southern Mid-Atlantic into parts of the Southeast/Eastern Gulf Coast with the precipitation moving off the Mid-Atlantic/Southeastern Coast on Saturday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Central Plains/Middle Mississippi Valley from overnight Friday into Saturday and Sunday morning. Meanwhile, a weakening front off the Pacific Northwest will aid in producing rain over parts of the Northwest Coast Saturday morning into Sunday. In addition, monsoonal moisture and daytime heating will aid in producing showers and thunderstorm over parts of the Great Basin into parts of the Southern/Central Rockies during the afternoon and evening hours on Friday and Saturday.
