A weakening stationary front along the Gulf Coast/Southeast will aid in triggering showers and thunderstorms along parts of the region through Saturday evening. Another weakening front extending across parts of the Upper Great Lakes will dissipate Friday evening. The associated upper-level energy will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Great Lakes through Saturday morning. Meanwhile, a third front over over parts of the Pacific Northwest will move eastward to the Northern Plains then southwestward to parts of the Great Basin by Saturday. The boundary will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Pacific Northwest and parts of the Northern Rockies through Friday evening. The boundary will intersect moisture over the Plains as the front moves out of the Rockies producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Northern/Central Plains by Saturday evening. Additionally, monsoonal moisture and diurnal heating will produce showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southern/Central Rockies during the afternoon and evening hours on Friday and Saturday.
