Moisture rich air will stream northward from the Atlantic over the Southeast and upper-level energy will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over the Southeast and into parts of the Southern Mid-Atlantic Coast through Monday evening. In addition, upper-level energy over the Middle Mississippi Valley to the Ohio Valley will aid in producing areas of showers and thunderstorms over parts of the region through Monday morning. A front extending from the Northern High Plains to parts of the Great Basin will slowly move eastward to the Upper Mississippi Valley roughly southwestward to the Great Basin by Monday evening. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Northern High Plains and move eastward to the Upper Mississippi Valley by Monday. Behind the system onshore flow off the Pacific will produce rain over parts of the Pacific Northwest through Monday evening. Elsewhere, monsoonal moisture and daytime heating will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over part of the Southern/Central Rockies and parts of the Southwest/Great Basin on Sunday and Monday afternoon and into the late evening.
