High moisture content air over parts of the Southeast and upper-level energy moving over parts of Florida will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over the parts of the Southeast Coast and Florida through Wednesday evening. In addition, moisture moving northward out of the Western Gulf of Mexico and upper-level energy will produce showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Western Gulf Coast also through Wednesday evening. Pockets of upper-level energy over parts of the Ohio Valley into the Mid-Atlantic and over the Central Plains moving to the Upper Great Lakes will aid in producing areas of showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Upper Great Lakes/Upper Mississippi Valley to the Central/Southern Plains through Wednesday. Likewise, areas of showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Ohio Valley into the Mid-Atlantic. Meanwhile, a front moving onshore over the Pacific Northwest will move inland to the Northern High Plains/Northern Intermountain Region re-enforcing a stalled boundary over the Northern High Plains. The boundary will produce rain over parts of the Pacific Northwest on Tuesday. Behind the front, onshore flow will produce rain over parts of the Northwest Coast similarly on Wednesday. Additionally, monsoonal moisture and daytime heating will trigger showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southern/Central Rockies and parts of the Southwest/Great Basin during the afternoon and late evening hours on Tuesday and Wednesday.
