Much of the Central U.S. will be cooler and wet through midweek as a slow-moving cold front makes its way through the Plains, Midwest and into the Great Lakes region. A large swath spanning from Texas to portions of New England will have scattered to widespread showers and thunderstorms. A cold front will begin to form over the Canadian Prairies this afternoon and will sag southward into the Northern Plains/Upper Midwest on Wednesday and Thursday. The system will be mostly dry through Wednesday.
