A front extending from the Northern Appalachians southwestward to the Southeast and along the Western Gulf Coast will slowly move eastward to just off the East Coast and southward to the Gulf of Mexico on Sunday. Furthermore, a wave of low pressure will develop over the Mid-Atlantic and move northward to Northern New England by Sunday evening. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of the boundary from the Lower Great Lakes to the Western Gulf Coast that will likewise move eastward off the Mid-Atlantic/Southeast Coast and the Gulf Coast by Sunday. The showers and thunderstorms will continue over parts of Northern New England and Southern Florida through Sunday evening. Meanwhile, upper-level energy will move eastward from Southern California into the Southwest on Sunday. The energy will intersect moisture from the Gulf of California and produce showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Southwest on Sunday evening.
