The Gulf Coast will be active over the next few days as a couple of low pressure systems persist and track northward. Clusters of showers and thunderstorms will develop and move onshore over the central to eastern Gulf coast and Florida. Heavy downpours will be possible; which may lead to flash flooding. Temperatures across central and northern US will moderate as a cold front slowly tracks through the Upper Mississippi Valley and Great Lakes, as well as the central Plains and Rockies over the next couple of days. Showers and thunderstorms will be possible along and ahead of the front. Low pressure developing along the cold front as it moves east across New England down to the mid Atlantic states increases the coverage and amounts of rainfall Tuesday night into Wednesday across the central to northern Appalachians, mid Atlantic, and New England.
