A front extending from roughly the Upper Great Lakes to parts of the Lower Mississippi Valley to the Southern High Plains will move off the East Coast and the Gulf Coast by Thursday. Moisture pooling along the boundary will aid in producing rain from the Northeast to the Ohio/Tennessee Valleys that will move eastward to parts of the Southeast and New England by Thursday morning. Meanwhile, upper-level energy over the Lower Mississippi Valley will slowly move to the Southeast by Thursday morning. High moisture content air over the Southeast will interact with the energy producing showers and thunderstorms from parts of the Central Gulf Coast eastward to the Southeast that will slowly move eastward to the Southeast Coast by Thursday. In addition, moisture pooling over the Central Plains/Rockies and upper-level energy will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over parts of the region through Thursday morning. Additionally, upper-level energy moving onshore over Northern California will move eastward to parts of the Northern Rockies by Thursday, too. Moisture from the Pacific will likewise move inland over Northern California into the Great Basin and Northern/Central Rockies that will aid in producing light rain from parts of the Sierras to the Northern Rockies from Wednesday evening into Thursday.
