Short Range Forecast Discussion NWS Weather Prediction Center College Park MD 333 AM EDT Sun Oct 11 2015 Valid 12Z Sun Oct 11 2015 - 12Z Tue Oct 13 2015 ...Temperatures expected to be well above average from the Plains to the Upper Great Lakes... A front extending from the Northern High Plains southwestward to parts of the Great Basin will move eastward to the Great Lakes to the Southern Plains by Monday evening. The system will be lacking in moisture over the Northern Tier States but will still wring out rain over parts of the Northern Rockies/Northern High Plains on Sunday. Overnight on Sunday the storm will produce rain over parts of the Upper Mississippi Valley/Upper Great Lakes into Monday. On Monday afternoon the associated front will intersect moisture over the Ohio Valley to parts of the Southern Plains. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of the Southern Plains into Lower Mississippi Valley by Monday evening. In addition, rain will develop along the boundary from the Lower Great Lakes to parts of the Tennessee and Ohio Valleys also by Monday evening. Meanwhile, upper-level low over the Southeast will slowly weaken and move just off the Carolina Coast by Monday evening. The storm will produce rain over parts of the Carolina Coast southward to the southern tip of Florida on Sunday waning to parts of the Carolina Coast and the southeast coast of Florida by Monday evening.
