A front extending from the Lower Great Lakes/Northern Appalachians to the Southeast then to the Western Gulf Coast will move eastward off the East Coast and southward over the Gulf of Mexico by Wednesday morning. Moisture pooling along the boundary will aid in producing rain from parts of the Northeast to the Southeast that will move off the Eastern Seaboard by late Tuesday night. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along the front from the Western/Central Gulf Coast on Tuesday morning that will move out over the Gulf of Mexico by Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Behind the system, upper-level energy moving over the Great Lakes and the Northeast will aid in producing rain over the region through Wednesday evening. In addition, an upper-level low off the Southern California Coast will inch closer to the coast by Wednesday. Circulation around the upper-level low will also stream moisture from the Pacific over parts of the Southern California developing showers and thunderstorms the area on Tuesday evening into Wednesday evening.
