Upper-level energy flowing over the Northeast and the Ohio Valley will aid in triggering rain over parts of the Great Lakes into parts of the Northeast on Wednesday. Additional upper-level energy moving southeastward out of West-Central Canada to the Great Lakes will induce a front extending from the Lower Great Lakes southwestward to the Southern High Plains by Thursday evening. The energy will produce rain over parts of the Upper Great Lakes to the Northern Appalachians on Thursday morning. Rain will be spawn along the developing front from the Texas panhandle northeastward to the Great Lakes and into parts of the Northeast by Thursday evening. Meanwhile, an upper-level low off the Southern California Coast will slowly move northeastward to Southern California by Thursday evening. Circulation around the upper-low will stream moisture into parts of the Southwest/Southern California which will aid in producing showers and thunderstorms over Southern California by Wednesday afternoon that will spread into parts of the Southwest to parts of the Southern Rockies and into parts of the Great Basin on Thursday. Elsewhere, an old front lingering over Southern Florida will aid in developing showers and thunderstorms over the region through Thursday evening.
