Low pressure over the Southeast will slowly move eastward off the Southeast Coast and dissipate later on Wednesday. The storm will pull moisture off the Gulf of Mexico producing rain over parts of the Southeast/Southern Mid-Atlantic through Wednesday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of Florida and southeast Georgia also through Wednesday. Meanwhile, a front extending from the Upper Great Lakes across parts of the Upper Midwest into parts of the Great Basin/Southern California will be quasi-stationary through Wednesday morning. The associated upper-level trough will slowly move eastward from the West Coast to the Great Basin/Northern Rockies by Wednesday. Energy moving through the upper-level trough will aid in producing rain from the West Coast to parts of the Northern High Plains, Great Basin, and the Southwest on Monday evening. The rain will continue over parts of the Pacific Northwest to parts of Southern California through Wednesday. Areas of snow will develop over the Northern Rockies, the higher elevations of the Great Basin, and parts of the Sierras of California from Monday evening into Wednesday morning. As the system moves eastward, snow will develop over parts of the higher elevations of the Central Rockies Tuesday night into Wednesday. Likewise, the rain will expand into parts of the Northern Plain/Upper Mississippi Valley and into parts of the Southern/Central Rockies and the Southwest Tuesday into Wednesday.
