A front extending from the Great Lakes roughly southward to the Western Gulf Coast will move eastward off the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic Coast while stretching across the Carolinas to the Eastern Gulf Coast by Saturday evening. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of the boundary from the Great Lakes to the Western Gulf Coast that will move southeastward to the Southeast by Saturday. Rain will also develop over of the Great Lakes to the Northern Appalachians through Saturday. In addition, rain will develop over the Western Gulf Coast to the Southern Mid-Atlantic on Saturday afternoon into evening. Onshore flow off the Pacific will aid in producing rain over parts of the Pacific Northwest on Friday. On Saturday, a front over the Eastern Pacific will move onshore by Saturday evening. The rain will expand into parts of Northern California and eastward to parts of the Northern Intermountain Region, likewise on Saturday.
